The US Senate on Tuesday passed a procedural vote to advance a bipartisan gun control package, with 14 Republicans joining Democrats and those who caucus with them. The 64 to 34 result signals that the legislation may break the 60-vote filibuster threshold. The 80-page bill includes expanded background checks for gun buyers under 21, grants for states that implement red flag laws, and offers additional funding for school safety measures and mental health services.
Liberty Nation believes you should have the full facts without the spin. As such, we republish the proposed legislation in full.
