Speaking virtually at a Future of the Car summit, Elon Musk declared Twitter’s decision to remove then-President Donald Trump from the platform a “morally bad decision” and “foolish in the extreme.” Musk said that should the takeover of the social media giant go through, he would reverse the ban.
Trump has previously indicated that he would not return to the blue bird platform, saying, “I am not going on Twitter. I am going to stay on Truth [Social] … I hope Elon buys Twitter because he’ll make improvements to it and he is a good man, but I am going to be staying on Truth.” However, with an audience of tens of millions waiting eagerly, it remains to be seen if 45 will stick to his guns.
Musk’s $44 billion takeover is still not finalized, even though it seems he has secured the necessary funding and agreements.
